We celebrated the fourth this year with our good friend, Tony Leuteritz from the island of Mauritius! It was really great to see him again after oh... maybe twenty years?! He has been a missionary there with his wife and four children for quite some time. There is a long connecting story between him and my Dad. We enjoyed visiting with him very much.
And, can we say slightly red neck here with setting the pine straw on fire?!
And finally, a tribute to our beloved Jeep Wrangler, that is now no longer in our possession. It took a few hard knocks, and symbolized some of what we went through over the past few years. I honestly hated to part with it, but am at peace now. It's a good thing. ;)
I grew up as an MK (missionary's kid) and a PK (a preacher's kid). Now I'm a PW (a pastor's wife). You would think that being in the ministry would fit me like a glove. But some days, I just want to be "regular," you know what I mean? I struggle just like everybody else. I feel left out, self-conscious, and inadequate. Thank God for reminding me that my adequacy depends on Him, and Him alone.
