Our last few days in Wilmore consisted of packing up all of our belongings, AGAIN, and of wonderful friends reaching out over and over again: from watching our children, to inviting us over for dinner, or bringing us dinner, to giving gifts, to just hanging out one last time before our departure.
We miss you all so much!
I like this pic below, even though it's not the most flattering of Luke. One: because his good buddy is in the pic with him (trying to keep the name safely undisclosed in cyberspace. ;)
And two: because behind them is the backdrop of that point in our lives. Our belongings were packed, but we still weren't sure WHERE the final destination would be.
Might I interject at this point that the boys were pretty much oblivious to the stress or concern that their parents may or may not have had. Yes, they were praying right along with us, that God would move us to the right place, and yes, they were sad to leave their friends... but they were also just excited for the adventure, and along for the ride (like Dory--from "Finding Nemo" inside the whale "whee!!!" when Marlin was super stressed about how to get out.)
In the midst of the craziness, Santa made an early delivery (we were super excited about the after Thanksgiving sale price on this baby!). And how convenient of Santa to deliver one of their Christmas list items right before our trip! Especially one that would help entertain on such a long trip down South! Santa is such a thoughtful guy.
We kept trying to tell Jon David that the chance of them getting a DS was very slim.
You can imagine their surprise!
